Kybella is synthetic deoxycholic acid — a molecule your body already uses to break down dietary fat. Injected into the pocket under the chin, it destroys fat cells, and your body clears them over the following weeks. Those cells do not regenerate.

It is the most honest treatment on our menu in one specific way: it asks something of you. The swelling is real and it is visible. In exchange, you get a permanent result without surgery.

Who it suits

Kybella works when the problem is fullness — a genuine fat pad under the chin, often genetic and often resistant to weight loss. It does not work when the problem is loose skin or a weak jawline projection. For those, the right answer is skin tightening or chin filler, and Drew will say so.

Every treatment starts with a health evaluation. You'll complete a health history before your appointment, and Drew examines you before treating. Some conditions, medications, and pregnancy or nursing make treatment unsafe — we'll tell you if you're not a candidate. Results and dosing vary between people.

Common questions

Yes. Deoxycholic acid destroys the fat cells it contacts, and those cells don't come back. Significant overall weight gain can still enlarge remaining fat cells in the area, but the treated cells are gone.
Most people need two to four, spaced about a month apart. Some need more. Drew will give you an estimate at the consultation based on how much fullness is there and how much you want reduced.
Swelling is the main event, and it is not subtle — the area can look noticeably puffy for several days to two weeks after each session. Plan around it. Numbness, firmness, and tenderness under the chin are also common and resolve over a few weeks.
No. Kybella removes fat; it does not tighten skin. If loose skin is the main issue rather than fullness, Kybella can make it look worse, and Drew will tell you that instead of selling you vials.
